Dr. Love is comfortable seeing patients of all ages. There are several ways he can determine during an exam if your child needs glasses or not, even if they don’t know their letters or can talk yet. Dr Love also tries to make the exam fun so that hopefully it’s their favorite type of doctor visit. After assessing your child’s eye development, he will go over strategies to protect them from things like eyestrain and myopia (near-sighted) progression. 

Dr. Love also likes to remind parents the importance of eye exams within the first years of life, in order to catch conditions that a pediatrician’s office or school screening might miss. At age 3, Dr. Love prescribed glasses for his daughter Juliana, who wasn’t even complaining that one eye was working and one eye not! Now seeing 20/20 in both eyes with her glasses, she likes to visit the office and make sure we keep plenty of cute frames for the girls and cool ones for the boys.
